It was just after dinnertime about 38 years ago…

I was about thirteen years old. I heard some strange sounds coming from the living room of our house. I walked into the room and found my father hunched over in a chair with his face in his hands sobbing.

His entire body was shaking.

My father carried 275 pounds on his enormous 6’ 5” frame. Seeing this giant man sobbing into his hands was both scary and heartbreaking.

He was a physician and for several days he had been speaking to the hospital about his own father, my grandpa, trying to diagnose his illness.  My father looked up at me and took me into his arms, and barely being able to breathe, he said, “My daddy has lung cancer,” and hugged me tightly.

By the time my grandfather had any symptoms, he had stage four cancer which had spread throughout his body. My young heart broke for my father. I stayed in his arms and wept with him.

That day left an indelible mark on me, a poignant reminder of life’s fragility. It was the beginning of witnessing the grueling journey forced upon my big, strong grandfather. I watched him wither into a skeleton of his old self. After he had lost 80 pounds, hardly able to stand, he still tried to make his grandchildren laugh when he could. He died a couple months later.

Thirty five years later, my father went to the hospital after he had experienced shortness of breath at work one day.  He was told he had stage four cancer-–  a journey marked by rugged treatments and cruel side effects due to late detection after symptoms had already surfaced. Despite putting his cancer into remission twice, even when it returned as a formidable brain tumor, he ultimately passed away from complications with pneumonia.  Watch his video here.

This story isn’t unique. We’ve all heard similar stories too many times. They’re always the same — one day a person wakes up experiencing a pain, cough, shortness of breath, or maybe blood where they shouldn’t see it. They felt fine the night prior, but this day they go to the doctor to discover they have stage four cancer.

My father, the late Dr. Ringold, founded Bionicc Body Screening so there would be fewer of these stories. In his final days, my father passionately advocated for full-body MRI screenings. He believed this proactive approach could empower individuals to take control of their health. He believed that these stories could be avoided through the advancement of technology like MRI full-body screenings. He envisioned a day when healthcare focused on prevention.

I applaud you as a person who takes control of their health and for your interest in our MRI full body screening. I encourage you to learn more about Bionicc Body Screening and what we can offer you.

My father paid the ultimate price of late detection. If he had a full body screening twelve or eighteen months prior, then he may have discovered a tumor the size of pea and his story may have been different. Instead, he had hundreds of tumors silently growing — some the size of softballs.

Don’t wait. Once symptoms appear it is too late. My father felt great until he had symptoms. If you feel healthy, then make sure you are as healthy on the inside as you feel on the outside.

Let’s talk…

Pick up the phone and call me today. Call 1-833-Bionicc (833-246-6422). If a staff member answers, then ask for me by name – Ryan. If you get voicemail, then that means we are either helping people or away from the office, so don’t keep calling. Just leave a message. I WILL return your call as soon as I can.

Let’s get your questions or concerns answered. Find out if this is right for you and if you qualify for a full body MRI.

The fee for a full body screening is insignificant compared to the ultimate price of detecting a disease like cancer late. We all know too many people who paid the ultimate price.
